Neumann M49 V – Neuauflage des legendären M49

Die Berliner Mikrofonschmiede Neumann haben auf ihren Social Media Kanälen ein neues Mikrofon mit der Bezeichnung M 49 V bekanntgegeben. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Neuauflage des legendären M 49. Das V steht für Variabel.

Neumann schreibt in einem Facebook Post: „Some of you were right: Yes, we are reissuing the M 49. We will call it the M 49 V (as in variable).The reissue already made experienced producers and artists literally fall out of their chairs during our field tests. Its sound is incomparable. It influences production choices even today. The M 49 has been dominating jazz, blues, and pop recordings since the 1950s for a reason. Maybe this is why we had some trouble getting the preproduction samples back. The M 49 V is 100% hand-crafted and will be extremely limited. Currently, only three people on this planet are able to assemble an M 49 V. And they are loving every moment of it.More info coming soon!“

Das M 49 gehört zu den ersten Mikrofonen, welche eine stufenlos regelbare Richtcharakteristik bietet. Im Inneren verbirgt sich die gleiche Kapsel, welche auch beim U 47 zum Einsatz kommt. Das in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Nordwestdeutschen Rundfunk entwickelte Mikrofon ist für seinen warmen und smoothen Sound bekannt und wurde 1951 erstmals veröffentlicht.

Verfügbarkeit und Preis sind des Neumann M 49 V sind noch nicht bekannt. Laut Neumann gibt es nur drei Personen weltweit welche fähig sind das Mikrofon zu bauen. Daher dürfte der Preis entsprechend ausfallen. Laut Neumann wird es das M 49 V in einer limitierten Stückzahl geben. Auf dem Gebrauchtmarkt kosten M49 Mikrofone 20.000 Euro. Gut erhaltene oder restaurierte Mikrofone auch gerne mehr.
