Ratio: The compression ratio determines how much gain reduction the compressor applies when the signal passes a threshold level.
Attack: Der Zeitpunkt der bestimmt wird, ab wann der Kompressor arbeiten soll.

Release: the parameter which determines how quickly the signal is restored to its original level after being compressed when falling below the threshold level.
Threshold = Schwellenwert: Legt den Pegel fest, ab wann der Kompressor anfängt zu arbeiten. Sobald der festgelegte Pegel überschritten wird, fängt der Kompressor an zu arbeiten.

The threshold on a compressor sets the volume level at which the compression kicks in. When the input volume surpasses this threshold, the compressor starts reducing the output volume.
